Services
Think Differently Psychology offers assessments across the lifespan to explore a possible diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Psycho-educational assessments are also available to explore cognitive functioning and academic achievement.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessments
ASD assessments are facilitated by 2 Autism SA accredited practitioners, Angela Coppi (psychologist) and Aliya Popkova (speech pathologist), who have over a decade of experience working together assessing children, adolescents and adults for ASD.
Assessment sessions are approximately 90 minutes. This includes a one-on-one observation sesssion, parent/caregiver interview, and parent/caregiver feedback session.
The fee for a dual ASD assessment with both Aliya and Angela is $1800, which includes the 90 minute assessment and feedback session and comprehensive written report.
If a comprehensive report will not be required for funding purposes now or in the future (e.g. educational settings / NDIS) the assessment fee is reduced to $1000. This option can be discussed with practitioners on the day of the assessment.
ADHD Assessments
ADHD assessments include an hour interview and observation session and completion of the Conners-4 or Conners Adult questionnaires online via an emailed link.
The fee for an ADHD assessment is $800, which includes a comprehensive report. Bookings for this are unable to made online. Please email a booking request either via the website below, or directly to admin@thinkdifferentlypsychology.com.au
If an ADHD assessment is added to a psycho-educational or ASD assessment, the fee is $300 (in addition to the $1200 psycho-educational fee or $1800 ASD assessment fee). At the time of booking, please make a note that you would like to add an ADHD assessment onto the assessment you are booking.
Psycho-Educational Assessments
Psycho-educational assessments explore an individual's cognitive abilities / intellectual functioning, and academic achievement. Information gathered can assist with identifying specific learning disorders (e.g. dyslexia, dysgraphia or dyscalculia), intellectual developmental disorder, or giftedness.
The fee for a psycho-educational assessment is $1200. This includes the 2 to 2.5 hour assessment session, 1 hour feedback session for parents following the assessment session, and a comprehensive written report.
